I hear people say, I don't know what to eat.There are foundational minerals, vitamins, Phyto-nutrients your body needs' to function optimally. The easiest way to ensure you are getting the foundational nutrition you need is really quite simple. You have heard it numerous times, but it bears repeating...you must eat health-fully! this means eat what makes you feel good- start by journaling the foods you eat, and how you feel after you eat them. The gauge is quite simple...does this food work toward my overall wellness quotient, and goal or take away from it? Checks and balances are essential in all of life. Or another way to put it, does this food-choice add, or detract from my goal of "wholeness.' We are far to interested in the taste of the food, instead, we must focus on the 'value' of the food that we eat. Eating for energy, is yet another thing to keep in mind when choosing your food. Energy is the source of living fully, when we are tired, or under-nourished we fell crappy. When we feel crappy, we tend to have a crappy attitude as well. When we are bogged down with foods that are laden with fat, sugar, and preservatives we feel unwell, no-brainer right? well then why is it we continue to eat these foods of lesser value? because we have or are accustomed to filling ourselves' up with junk-food, to feel better, or to have more energy, when we experience anger, or fear, or just sadness, some of us reach for that good old friend food! Food, is not the answer, or the enemy. we know that, and yet....on the cycle goes. Food is a tool we use to survive, enjoyment can, and should come from eating absolutely, but food should not be a method of finding happiness. I know you are probably thinking, I know that...Do you?
